In the 1930s, Boulogne-Billancourt was a hotbed of achitectural creativity. In the Les Princes district, to the north of Boulogne on the edge of Paris, twenty or so town houses, studio-residences and apartment buildings were constructed by some of the greatest architects of the first half century, such as Le Corbusier, Lurçat, Mallet-Stevensand Perret.
